What is adserver?

An ad server is a computer server, specifically a web server that stores advertisements used in online marketing and delivers them to website visitors.

OpenX is free open source ad server software developed in the past years by a devoted open source developer community. Their website is openx.org. For now, they have the software as downloadable and installable on your server. OpenX has 30,000 publishers using the software on 100,000 sites in 140 different countries and in 20 languages. Since OpenX is published under the GPL license, there is no cost to use the software. It is freely downloadable.

Though openx hold lots of feature but still some modules makes to shine more i.e. making openx interface more user friendly, one among them is Billing system integration, it’s one of the most wanted and a useful plug-in for openx administrators, advertiser and publishers, but it is not available in openx. So, to accomplish this feature, adservermods.com has developed this plug-in for openx users.

What is the need of this module?

In openx admin has to create the campaign for advertiser (Inventory details, contract details, priority in relation to other campaigns, delivery capping for visitor). For all his adserver advertisers think if it is in 100 or 1000, those modules make it easy to manage.

Simply admin has to create product, for example say product name as pro-impressions or pro clicks it will be a package of 1000 impressions are clicks.

Once admin have created this, it will be available for advertiser. If he want to book his impressions and clicks simply he has to purchase any one of those products then our billing module internal functionality will make the advertisers (Inventory details, contract details, priority in relation to other campaigns, delivery capping for visitor) filled and it work accordingly.
